General Policies

To enroll your child, you must fill out an enrollment form and provide a health and immunization record. An Infant Care Sheet must be filled out for all incoming infants. This Care Sheet must be updated once a month or as deemed necessary. Children four years of age and older must have a vision and hearing screening.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition payments will be due each Monday for the current week. Return Check Fee of $25. All fees must be current by the fifth of the month, unless you have made payment arrangements. Unpaid balances will result in disenrollment. A returned check fee will be charged to your account for all insufficient fund checks.

Full time rates only: Must pay full week regardless of absentee/holiday

professional staff membersMultiple Child Discounts

When multiple children from the same family attend the center, a discount from the weekly tuition fee is granted once a second child begins attending. To take advantage of this discount, full tuition must be paid for the child with the highest tuition base. The discount is then applied to the other child enrolled form the same family. In most cases, the discount applies to the tuition for the oldest child. This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts offered by Little Farm School.

Holidays

We are closed for eight holidays each year: Memorial Day, Battle of Flowers, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (Thursday and Friday), Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. If one of these holidays occurs on a weekend date, the holiday may be observed on the day before or after the holiday.

Reporting Absences

If your child is going to be absent, please notify the center's staff. If your child is ill, you should notify us of the nature of the illness, particularly if it is contagious.

If your child is enrolled in our after school program, please notify the center of any changes in the child’s schedule. We ask that you notify us at least two hours in advance of the scheduled pickup time if your child is not to be picked up at the school on any given day. This will help prevent miscommunication regarding your child’s transportation.

Closures

Little Farm School will observe the same severe weather day closures as North East Independent School District.

Observance of Special Occasions

The center may observe special occasions with parties for children’s birthdays, Valentine’s Day, etc...

Clothing

We request that all children bring a complete set of extra clothing, in case of spills. All clothing needs to be clearly marked with your child’s name. We cannot be responsible for unmarked clothing. We recommend that your child wear washable, comfortable play clothes that are easy for child to manage. Tennis shoes or other soft soled shoes are the safest, whereas sandals and hard heeled boots can lead to injured toes. Dress shoes, sandals and boots are discouraged.

Personal Belongings

It is difficult for the teacher to identify the owner of personal belongings, or it may be distressing to children to misplace or lose their belongings. It is strongly encouraged for children to leave toys, food, money, gum, and candy at home.
