Rest/Nap Time
All children who spend a full day with us will be required to rest. Depending on their age, children are expected to rest quietly or engage in quiet activities, allowing those who need to sleep the opportunity to do so. Children will be provided a mat for rest time. Infants will sleep in a crib. Blankets and sheets are provided by Little Farm School and are changed as deemed necessary. You have the option to use yours or ours. If using your own personal linens, remember to take them home on Friday to be laundered.
Food and Nutrition
We encourage sampling new foods and provide proper nutrition. The Federal Food Program assists Little Farm School; therefore, outside lunches/snacks are highly discouraged. Special diets for children must be accompanied by Doctor’s orders. Children enrolled full time are served a nutritious breakfast, lunch and a snack each day.
Menus are posted weekly. All meals are served in the classroom. During this time, we teach children the fundamentals of good nutrition and sound eating habits.
All medication must be signed in daily on our medication form. All medications are stored in the medicine cabinet located in the utility room, inaccessible to children. One designated staff member in the center will administer medications. The administration of medication will always be witnessed by another staff member and recorded by our staff on the medication form. We cannot administer any medication that has expired. Medication that requires refrigeration will be kept in the utility room refrigerator.
